How to Donate to St Paul’s and St Timothy’s
During the pandemic, many people showed their generosity by asking how they could continue to make their offerings to support their parishes. Also, we are now living in a more ‘cashless’ society. So, besides the offertory collection, there are some other facilities which have emerged for those who wish to pay a one-off donation or recurring donations.
All options are UK Gift Aid compatible. Some facilities have a question on the form about claiming Gift-Aid and for some other facilities you have to fill in a separate Gift Aid form, available from the parishes. Can we encourage you to let theArchdiocese claim gift aid for your parish on any of your donations? You have to be a tax payer and to have paid enough tax to cover your donation. Please look at our FAQ on Gift Aid for more details.
While these newer facilities remove the need for counting, bagging, recording and banking weekly collections, they will also reduce the administrative burden on parishes in the long term. However, in the short term, some of the online facilities do cost money to the parishes so please use the Offertory Collection for small donations!

Planned Giving — made easy
There are now these methods outlined below.
Offertory Collection
You can give cash or cheque (payable to St Paul’s Parish or St Timothy’s Parish) in the usual way at the Offertory collection at Mass on a Sunday. To gift-aid your donation, you need to fill in a gift-aid form AND you must use a set of offertory envelopes for any donations.
Please go to the Gift-Aid form page or request a Gift Aid form from one of the Sacristans.
On the form, you can choose one or more options:
a single donation made today
all future donations
all donations made in the past four years
to be gift-aided.
Cheque in the Post
If you are not able to come to Sunday Mass and you have no access to the other facilities, then write a cheque, payable to St Paul’s Parish or St Timothy’s Parish then post cheque to St Paul’s Presbytery, 10 Spring Grove, LIVERPOOL, L12 8SJ. To gift-aid your donation, you need to fill in a gift-aid form AND you must use a set of offertory envelopes for your donations. Read the section above this about how to fill in the form
Standing Order Form
A good number of parishioners give through a weekly or monthly standing order. If anyone else would like to consider doing this then please request a standing order form by email (stpaulsttimothy@rcaol.org.uk) or post and one will be sent to you. The form asks if you wish to gift-aid your donations. Please specify which church to which you wish to make your donations as St Paul’s and St Timothy’s still have separate bank accounts.
Online Form
Each parish has received its own unique parish specific link which you will find below. By clicking on one of these links, those wishing to donate will be able to choose between one off or recurring donations. There is a gift-aid option on the forms

ContactLess Giving
You will find our DIGITAL COLLECTION PLATE, a contactless terminal in both churches. Just use your contactless debit/credit card or smart phone/device to make a donation. It is also easier for a ‘one-off’ donation for anyone visiting the church.
Simply choose the amount you wish to donate and hold your card onto the reader. You can also opt-in for Gift Aid to increase your donation.
Text Giving
Parishioners can also give their offering by text message.
If you use the Text Giving option, the Archdiocese will be able to collect gift aid for all donations. However if you are a tax payer and want to keep a record of donations for tax purposes, you should not use this option for making donations to the parish.
